Ciudad Patricia Celebrates Being Officially Recognised for deployment During Covid19

| 13.01.2021

At Ciudad Patricia, we take the welfare and safety of residents very seriously. During the Covid19 lockdown, we worked hard, taking extra measures to keep everyone safe and secure.

Therefore, it was a great honour to have received recognition for this at a formal ceremony on 6th December, when Nadine Sweers (Manager Apartamentos Ciudad Patricia) and Barbara Acevedo (Director Nursing home) were presented the official acknowledgement, signed by the Mayor of Benidorm.

On 18th December, we invited the staff and residents of the entire resort in groups to celebrate this wonderful recognition - naturally in a Covid-safe way.  Nadine Sweers (Location Manager) spoke on behalf of the management and thanked the entire team of Ciudad Patricia, including special attention to the caretakers, porter, reception, and cleaning staff who continued their work on site during these special tense times. Special mention was also given to our Doctor and the entire medical team who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of everyone. Nadine also mentioned the important role that our residents played in keeping the resort safe by following all the rules correctly. All in all, it was a real team effort!

Communication is vital in any organisation, especially in a company with more than 190 apartments and 20 staff. The management and administration team kept everyone informed by regularly sending letters about the new measures and the resulting rules we had to follow.  The maintenance team took care of the daily disinfection of the residential buildings.  Reception called the sole-occupants every day to check-in with them.  Our Social worker Jayne did her best to take care of the flow of needs, including grocery shopping and picking up recipes for some residents and the restaurant offered both pick-up and delivery meals during the lockdown situation.

As Mr & Mrs Fisher, residents of Ciudad Patricia for 7 years, put it, "we were so well looked after and kept fully informed at all times. We are so happy that we were here during the lockdown and we really can't imagine that we had lived anywhere else".

We continue to take all necessary measures to protect our residents as much as possible and together we look forward positively to 2021 where we hope to meet again with a little more freedom.
