Making Life Easier

| 11.06.2019

Barbara and her lovely husband had spent 10 years living in Torrevieja. Prior to that, Barbara had been working in a care home in West Sussex for Alzheimer for 10 years. Norman was a fire chief in London.

Around 2011, Barbara broke her hip and had to spend her time rehabilitating in a nursing home that was not very nice. At the same time, Norman started to have breathing problems.  They both realised they should start planning their future to be somewhere that offered help when it was needed.
After seeing the advert in the Female Focus they decided to visit. All the try-out apartments were booked so they decided to stay in a nearby hotel to experience for themselves the beautiful retirement resort of Ciudad Patricia.

In Barbara's own words.

"Amanda and Nadine the manager showed us around and we fell in love with a ground floor apartment in Gardenia with its own private garden so convenient to the main building. We put a deposit down and we were so lucky we sold our home in 6 days. Amanda arranged to have some new things put in and the apartment was soon painted and ready for us to move in.That was 12 September 2012 nearly 7 years ago. We were so lucky to move into Ciudad Patricia we loved each other very much and wanted to be together. We soon made lots of lovely friends and we were very happy together".
When asked what would you tell people considering to come and live here she says " I cant suggest a better place to live, this is my home and there is always someone to help. We found a lovely local church in Benidorm. Sadly, I recently lost my lovely Norman but I told Amanda that I was happy that we spent some lovely time together in our new home. I have met so many lovely people that were loving and helped made the sad loss of My lovely Norman a little easier. I would never have coped if i was living alone now. This is my home and i love living here My dear Norman is still with me in my home and heart."

Ciudad Patricia is designed to provide independent living with a safety net to help with senior living. From the facilities to the opportunity to make new friends and develop your own support network, Ciudad Patricia offers so much to help you live life to the full.
